Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Italian mansion House And Royal Exchange, London by Paolo Sala. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,167.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paolo Sala have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Anichkov Bridge On Nevsky Prospekt At Dusk in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 160,692.13).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.167,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Sala auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Anichkov Bridge On Nevsky Prospekt At Dusk im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 160.692,13).
