Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Judgement Of Paris by Paolo de Matteis was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2010. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,061.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paolo de Matteis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sacrifice of Isaac, which sold at auction in July 2006 for GBP 114,000.00 (€ 166,882.64).

Die Arbeit Judgement Of Paris von Paolo de Matteis kam im Januar 2010 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.061,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paolo de Matteis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sacrifice of Isaac beobachtet, die im Juli 2006 für GBP 114.000,00 (€ 166.882,64) versteigert wurde.
