Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Cain And Abel by Paolo de Matteis for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,091.30). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paolo de Matteis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sacrifice of Isaac in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 114,000.00 (€ 166,882.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cain And Abel von Paolo de Matteis für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.091,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paolo de Matteis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sacrifice of Isaac im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 114.000,00 (€ 166.882,64).
