Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art (Part I), which included the work Iris by Pang Xunqin. The price achieved of HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 161,160.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pang Xunqin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Roof (Painted In 1977) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art (Part I) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iris von Pang Xunqin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.807.500,00 (€ 161.160,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pang Xunqin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Roof (Painted In 1977) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
