In October 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART & ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work Chrysanthemum by Pang Xunqin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 478,000.00 (€ 48,152.52), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pang Xunqin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Roof (Painted In 1977) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART & ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chrysanthemum von Pang Xunqin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 478.000,00 (€ 48.152,52) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pang Xunqin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Roof (Painted In 1977) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
