Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cat on a Rock in the Style of Bada Shanren by Pan Tianshou was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 2,500,000.00 (€ 277,974.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pan Tianshou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo Valley in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 18,040,000.00 (€ 2,085,090.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cat on a Rock in the Style of Bada Shanren von Pan Tianshou kam im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.500.000,00 (€ 277.974,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pan Tianshou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo Valley im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.040.000,00 (€ 2.085.090,26).
