A top price for Pan Tianshou
This artwork by Pan Tianshou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Bamboo Valley sold for HKD 18,040,000.00 (€ 2,085,090.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000,000.00. This high result makes Bamboo Valley the most expensive artwork by Pan Tianshou that we have observed at auctions so far.
