In April this year China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Butterfly And Flowers by Pan Tianshou. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 240,000.00 (€ 245,086.96), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pan Tianshou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo Valley in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 18,040,000.00 (€ 2,085,090.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Butterfly And Flowers von Pan Tianshou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 240.000,00 (€ 245.086,96) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pan Tianshou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo Valley im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.040.000,00 (€ 2.085.090,26).
