In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session), which included the work Those Red Years – Bridge by Pan Dehai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,181.81), 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pan Dehai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pimples Series - Tiananmen in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 2,527,500.00 (€ 225,357.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Those Red Years – Bridge von Pan Dehai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.181,81) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pan Dehai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pimples Series - Tiananmen im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.527.500,00 (€ 225.357,69).
