Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Corn Series: Wanted No. 4 by Pan Dehai was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 115,581.50). Other works by Pan Dehai have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2007 by the work Pimples Series - Tiananmen at HKD 2,527,500.00 (€ 225,357.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Corn Series: Wanted No. 4 von Pan Dehai im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 115.581,50) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Pan Dehai wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2007 die Arbeit Pimples Series - Tiananmen mit HKD 2.527.500,00 (€ 225.357,69).
