This artwork by Pádraig MacMiadhacháin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2007. In the The Irish Sale Part II auction, the work Tents and Jebels, Wadi Rumm, Jordan sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,765.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pádraig MacMiadhacháin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waiting For The Tide, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 5,026.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pádraig MacMiadhacháin erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Irish Sale Part II wurde die Arbeit Tents and Jebels, Wadi Rumm, Jordan für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.765,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pádraig MacMiadhacháin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waiting For The Tide beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 5.026,23) versteigert wurde.
