Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ghost Harbour, Cornwall; and Pale Morning in the Harbour, St. Ives by Pádraig MacMiadhacháin was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2008. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,494.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pádraig MacMiadhacháin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waiting For The Tide, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 5,026.23).
