Despite a disappointment, a good price for Pablo Vargas Lugo
When the work Snoopy (Figura C) by Pablo Vargas Lugo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 11,243.14). Despite this disappointing result, Snoopy (Figura C) is the most expensive artwork by Pablo Vargas Lugo that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Pablo Vargas Lugo
Als die Arbeit Snoopy (Figura C) von Pablo Vargas Lugo im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.875,00 (€ 11.243,14) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Snoopy (Figura C) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Pablo Vargas Lugo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
