Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Ensayo de Caligrafia A by Pablo Vargas Lugo for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,340.32). This price was achieved in the auction Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction at Phillips in an online auction and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Pablo Vargas Lugo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snoopy (Figura C) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 11,243.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ensayo de Caligrafia A von Pablo Vargas Lugo für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.340,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pablo Vargas Lugo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snoopy (Figura C) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 11.243,14).
