Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction 500 Years of Printmaking, which included the work Exposition Vallauris - 57 (Bloch 1277; Baer 1044) by Pablo Picasso. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,503.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
