This artwork by Pablo Picasso achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2012. In the Impressionist/Modern auction, the work Design For A Book Cover sold for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,102.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pablo Picasso erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist/Modern wurde die Arbeit Design For A Book Cover für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.102,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pablo Picasso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 179.365.000,00 (€ 163.148.080,77).
