Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Obey by Owusu-Ankomah for GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,242.45). This price was achieved in the auction A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Owusu-Ankomah have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ghan aianmovement No. 4 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,782.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Obey von Owusu-Ankomah für GBP 4.500,00 (€ 5.242,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Owusu-Ankomah auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ghan aianmovement No. 4 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.782,67).
