Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Ghan aianmicrocron-Kundum No. 2 by Owusu-Ankomah for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,391.34). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Owusu-Ankomah have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2018 by the work Ghan aianmovement No. 4 at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,782.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ghan aianmicrocron-Kundum No. 2 von Owusu-Ankomah für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.391,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Owusu-Ankomah wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Ghan aianmovement No. 4 mit GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.782,67).
