Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ouattara Watts achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in October last year. In the Generation 21 by Artcurial auction, the work Summer (Hamptons), 2003 sold for EUR 13,120.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ouattara Watts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Afro Beat in May last year with an auction result of USD 781,200.00 (€ 727,984.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ouattara Watts erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Generation 21 by Artcurial wurde die Arbeit Summer (Hamptons), 2003 für EUR 13.120,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ouattara Watts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Afro Beat im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 781.200,00 (€ 727.984,34).
