Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Intercessor by Ouattara Watts was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ouattara Watts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Afro Beat in May last year with an auction result of USD 781,200.00 (€ 727,984.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Intercessor von Ouattara Watts kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ouattara Watts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Afro Beat im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 781.200,00 (€ 727.984,34).
