Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Ivorian Untitled, New York 1992, Ouattarazaniaz, Ouattara, Magic Man by Ouattara Watts for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,163.29). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ouattara Watts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Afro Beat in May last year with an auction result of USD 781,200.00 (€ 727,984.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ivorian Untitled, New York 1992, Ouattarazaniaz, Ouattara, Magic Man von Ouattara Watts für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.163,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ouattara Watts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Afro Beat im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 781.200,00 (€ 727.984,34).
