Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Otto Zitko was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,010.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Zitko - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,112.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Otto Zitko wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.010,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Zitko mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.112,98) versteigert wurde.
