Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Corner of a hayfield by Otto Theodore Leyde for GBP 293.75 (€ 464.66). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Otto Theodore Leyde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Day's Work Done in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,893.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Corner of a hayfield von Otto Theodore Leyde für GBP 293,75 (€ 464,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otto Theodore Leyde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Day's Work Done im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.893,20).
