Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work The fishing party by Otto Theodore Leyde for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,576.52). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Theodore Leyde - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Day's Work Done, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,893.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The fishing party von Otto Theodore Leyde für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.576,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Theodore Leyde mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Day's Work Done beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.893,20) versteigert wurde.
