This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Otto B. de Kat; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot De ronde tafel - Ukkel sold at auction in November 2003 with the realized price of EUR 7,528.50.
