Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Hot Stock Tip Securities by Otis Kaye. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,553.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otis Kaye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Easy Come, Easy Go in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 514,000.00 (€ 467,527.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hot Stock Tip Securities von Otis Kaye zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.553,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otis Kaye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Easy Come, Easy Go im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 514.000,00 (€ 467.527,74).
