This artwork by Oskar Fischinger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California auction, the work Untitled, 1962 sold for USD 6,950.00 (€ 5,931.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oskar Fischinger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Multiballs on black, which sold at auction in July 2016 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,550.50).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Oskar Fischinger erzielte im September 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California wurde die Arbeit Untitled, 1962 für USD 6.950,00 (€ 5.931,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oskar Fischinger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Multiballs on black beobachtet, die im Juli 2016 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.550,50) versteigert wurde.
