Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Still Life Of Apples And Grapes In A Blue-And-White Porcelain Bowl, Raspberries And Walnuts In Pewter Dishes, Plums On A Pewter Dish Atop A Stand, Together With Three Wine-Glasses And Sprigs Of Apricots And Gooseberries Upon A Wooden Table by Osias Beert the Elder. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 265,250.00 (€ 304,414.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Osias Beert the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Still Life Of Porcelain Vessels Containing Sweets, Pewter Plates Bearing Sweets And Chestnuts, Three Pieces Of Glassware And A Bread Roll On A Table Draped With A Mauve Cloth in January

Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life Of Apples And Grapes In A Blue-And-White Porcelain Bowl, Raspberries And Walnuts In Pewter Dishes, Plums On A Pewter Dish Atop A Stand, Together With Three Wine-Glasses And Sprigs Of Apricots And Gooseberries Upon A Wooden Table von Osias Beert the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 265.250,00 (€ 304.414,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
