Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The vegetable market; and A Neapolitan street, market day by Oscar Ricciardi was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2008. It achieved a price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,691.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Ricciardi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing Vessels Moored At The Bay of Naples, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,359.89).

Die Arbeit The vegetable market; and A Neapolitan street, market day von Oscar Ricciardi kam im Januar 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.691,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Oscar Ricciardi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishing Vessels Moored At The Bay of Naples beobachtet, die im März 2005 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.359,89) versteigert wurde.
