Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fortezza di Rovigliano by Oscar Ricciardi was auctioned at Il Ponte in November 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 2,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Oscar Ricciardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishing Vessels Moored At The Bay of Naples in March 2005 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,359.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Fortezza di Rovigliano von Oscar Ricciardi im November 2017 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.800,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oscar Ricciardi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishing Vessels Moored At The Bay of Naples im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.359,89).
