Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Untitled (stack) by Oscar Murillo. The price achieved of USD 95,250.00 (€ 89,403.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Murillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 245,000.00 (€ 342,693.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (stack) von Oscar Murillo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 95.250,00 (€ 89.403,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oscar Murillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 245.000,00 (€ 342.693,81) versteigert wurde.
