A top price for Oscar Lakeman - as previously expected
In January 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Containers #83 by Oscar Lakeman. The price achieved of USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,692.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Containers #83 is the most expensive artwork by Oscar Lakeman that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Containers #83 von Oscar Lakeman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.692,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Containers #83 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Oscar Lakeman, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
