Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life by Onib Olmedo was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,707.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Onib Olmedo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley) in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 24,600.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life von Onib Olmedo wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.707,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Onib Olmedo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 24.600,03).
