In April 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Still Life by Onib Olmedo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,208.15), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Onib Olmedo have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 24,600.03) in May 2011 for the work Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Onib Olmedo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 15.208,15) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Onib Olmedo haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 24.600,03) im Mai 2011 für die Arbeit Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley) beobachtet.
