Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Onib Olmedo could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Still life - jars and flowers changed hands for HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,625.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Onib Olmedo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley) in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 24,600.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Onib Olmedo konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Still life - jars and flowers für HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.625,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Onib Olmedo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 24.600,03).
