Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Indonesian Art, which included the work Man and woman by Onib Olmedo. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,560.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Onib Olmedo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley) in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 24,600.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Indonesian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man and woman von Onib Olmedo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.560,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Onib Olmedo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concert dans l'impasse (Concert in the alley) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 24.600,03).
