Auction result well in line with expectations
The work site specific_ROMA 04 (Pantheon), 2004 by Olivo Barbieri was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,924.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olivo Barbieri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dolomites Project #7, 2010, which sold at auction in April 2018 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,599.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit site specific_ROMA 04 (Pantheon), 2004 von Olivo Barbieri kam im Oktober 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.924,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Olivo Barbieri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dolomites Project #7, 2010 beobachtet, die im April 2018 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.599,80) versteigert wurde.
