Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shanghai 1998 by Olivo Barbieri was sold in the Photographs auction at Il Ponte in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,300.00 – 1,900.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,350.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olivo Barbieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dolomites Project #7, 2010 in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,599.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shanghai 1998 von Olivo Barbieri wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Photographs bei Il Ponte versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.300,00 – 1.900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.350,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olivo Barbieri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dolomites Project #7, 2010 im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.599,80).
