Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Looking Up The Duddon Valley, Twilight by Oliver Hall was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 325.00 (€ 441.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oliver Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A bridge in a river landscape, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 956.00 (€ 1,431.04).

Die Arbeit Looking Up The Duddon Valley, Twilight von Oliver Hall kam im Dezember 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 325,00 (€ 441,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Oliver Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A bridge in a river landscape beobachtet, die im März 2004 für GBP 956,00 (€ 1.431,04) versteigert wurde.
