A top price for Oliffe Richmond
In August 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Figure Study by Oliffe Richmond. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 11,400.00 (€ 6,702.29), 43% above the upper estimate. With this result, Australian Figure Study is even the most expensive work of art by Oliffe Richmond that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im August 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Figure Study von Oliffe Richmond zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 11.400,00 (€ 6.702,29) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Australian Figure Study sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Oliffe Richmond, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
