Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Olga de Amaral achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online auction, the work Policromo Vii sold for USD 239,400.00 (€ 200,368.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olga de Amaral - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cesta Lunar 50A, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 555,000.00 (€ 490,152.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Olga de Amaral erzielte im November 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online wurde die Arbeit Policromo Vii für USD 239.400,00 (€ 200.368,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Olga de Amaral mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cesta Lunar 50A beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 555.000,00 (€ 490.152,79) versteigert wurde.
