In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection, which included the work Woman with Cat and Butterfly by Oleg Tselkov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 100,800.00 (€ 120,233.26), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Oleg Tselkov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boy with Balloons in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 571,600.00 (€ 681,798.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman with Cat and Butterfly von Oleg Tselkov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 120.233,26) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oleg Tselkov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boy with Balloons im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 571.600,00 (€ 681.798,90).
