Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Woman with candle by Oleg Tselkov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,695.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oleg Tselkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy with Balloons in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 571,600.00 (€ 681,798.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman with candle von Oleg Tselkov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 36.695,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oleg Tselkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy with Balloons im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 571.600,00 (€ 681.798,90).
