Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman, which included the work Three Indians on Horseback 14 x 20 in. framed 22 x 28 in. by Olaf Carl Seltzer. The price achieved of USD 31,875.00 (€ 30,877.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olaf Carl Seltzer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans), which sold at auction in May last year for USD 100,800.00 (€ 93,933.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Indians on Horseback 14 x 20 in. framed 22 x 28 in. von Olaf Carl Seltzer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.875,00 (€ 30.877,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Olaf Carl Seltzer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 100.800,00 (€ 93.933,46) versteigert wurde.
