Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cowboys Herding Longhorn sight 8 1/2 x 12 in. framed 17 x 21 in. by Olaf Carl Seltzer was sold in the The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,586.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Olaf Carl Seltzer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans) in May last year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 93,933.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cowboys Herding Longhorn sight 8 1/2 x 12 in. framed 17 x 21 in. von Olaf Carl Seltzer wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.586,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olaf Carl Seltzer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 93.933,46).
