Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work The Signal by Olaf Carl Seltzer. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,300.00 (€ 12,651.95). Admittedly, works by Olaf Carl Seltzer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans) in May last year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 93,933.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Signal von Olaf Carl Seltzer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.300,00 (€ 12.651,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olaf Carl Seltzer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 93.933,46).
