Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Duck hunting scene with hunter and dog sight 17 x 28 in. framed 29 x 39 in. by Olaf Carl Seltzer for USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,087.77). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olaf Carl Seltzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans) in May last year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 93,933.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Duck hunting scene with hunter and dog sight 17 x 28 in. framed 29 x 39 in. von Olaf Carl Seltzer für USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.087,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olaf Carl Seltzer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blackfeet Warriors (Piegans) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 93.933,46).
