The work Twelve erotic scenes by Okumura Masanobu was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2000. It achieved a price of USD 16,450.00 (€ 18,614.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Okumura Masanobu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The actor Sanogawa Ichimatsu I sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,260.43).
