Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black Sphere against a Red Background by Oksana Mas was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,858.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oksana Mas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Drive 9, which sold at auction in June 2009 for GBP 33,650.00 (€ 39,487.15).

Die Arbeit Black Sphere against a Red Background von Oksana Mas wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.858,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oksana Mas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Drive 9 beobachtet, die im Juni 2009 für GBP 33.650,00 (€ 39.487,15) versteigert wurde.
