Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woodcock Shooting by Ogden Minton Pleissner was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,952.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ogden Minton Pleissner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Down's Gulch, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 84,000.00 (€ 70,933.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Woodcock Shooting von Ogden Minton Pleissner kam im April 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.952,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ogden Minton Pleissner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Down's Gulch beobachtet, die im Dezember 2005 für USD 84.000,00 (€ 70.933,96) versteigert wurde.
